ABOUT

PRESSED MAGAZINE

In a world full of cis straight male colonial views based art, we want to create a space for artist-first driven narratives. We believe in promoting the artists behind the work and their teams who made it happen.

In a world where everything is political; political meets visual

We believe in accessibility in multiple forms. As an educational platform as well as a creative outlet, we believe creating resources for those who believe in our mission.
As we promote people from all different backgrounds we want to make online space such as ours as inclusive as possible. Hence, our interviews with talented people include written articles and videos, allowing those with different level of visibility, hearing, and learning spectrums ability to consume out media. As one of our founders is dsylexic, we strongly believe that learning disabilities and neurodivergency be a limitation for anyone seeking out knowledge and have tried adapting our magazine to accomodate all different walks of life.

UX DESIGNER

CO-FOUNDER

Dominique is a Miami-based designer, who found their passion for art and design through the vibrance and creativity of the city. With a background in Fine Art and Interaction Design, I realized I wanted to use creativity to help people and improve their experiences. Dominique favorite part of design is going down the rabbit hole of research and development, absorbing as much information as possible. Understanding different histories, cultures, people, and philosophies, she aims to create inclusive and accessible designs. Overall, Dominique wants to build connections and be an advocate for those who are often ignored by intersecting the arts, in motion, web development, and spatial experiences being a voice that celebrates different perspectives and create a more inclusive world for all to experience and share.
