About Us

What Sets Us Apart

Pressed Magazine originates from (1) pressed: American slang for visibly  upset or annoyed, (2) pressed: put in a tight spot (ex pressed for time, spcae, or money), (3) Pressed: oppressed.

In a world full of cis straight male colonial views based art, we want to create a space for artsitc first drive narratives. We believe in promiting the artists behind the work and their teams who made it happen.

We are a team of queer, POC, most of us women people trying to unite creatives and create access to show the world what talent exists beyond the patriarchal white gaze. The world should be able to readily access artists outside of the binary and normative and that's what we are trying to build.

We appreciate support in our mission to change the world and art.

Dominique is a Miami-based designer, who found their passion for art and design through the vibrance and creativity of the city. With a background in Fine Art and Interaction Design, I realized I wanted to use creativity to help people and improve their experiences. Dominique favorite part of design is going down the rabbit hole of research and development, absorbing as much information as possible. Understanding different histories, cultures, people, and philosophies, she aims to create inclusive and accessible designs. Overall, Dominique wants to build connections and be an advocate for those who are often ignored by intersecting the arts, in motion, web development, and spatial experiences being a voice that celebrates different perspectives and create a more inclusive world for all to experience and share.
